The Syrian army troops backed by popular committees regained strategic areas in the province of Hama as the government forces are determined to completely purge the country of the Takfiri terrorists.
On Wednesday, the Syrian army troops took full control over Sheir al-Sahab and point 793 which overlook al-Sarmaniyeh in the Northwestern countryside of Hama.
A large group of Takfiri terrorists were killed in the military operations.
Militants' weapons and military vehicles were also destroyed.
Earlier, informed sources said the militant groups withdrew forces from more lands in the Northern parts of Hama province after the Syrian Army troops alongside the popular forces stormed their positions and took back Tal Huwayr.
"The Syrian army and National Defense Forces (NDF) raided the Takfiri militants' concentration centers and broke through their defense lines in the strategic hilltop of Tal Huwayr near Morek town," the sources said.
"The terrorists retreated form the battlefield after leaving behind many dead or wounded members," the sources added.
"Recapture of the hilltop will bring vast areas in the Northern part of Haman under fire of the Syrian artillery," the sources underscored.
Most of the advances of the Syrian government forces against the militant groups have been covered very well by the Syrian or Russian fighter jets in the recent weeks; FNA reported.
