German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter on Tuesday hailed the Iranian nuclear accord, calling it “historic”, Al-Alam News Network reports.
Speaking to the press in Vienna, Steinmeier said today is 'a good and perhaps historic day for all those wishing to resolve conflicts peacefully.'
He expressed hope that settling the Iranian nuclear row could also have a positive impact on the Middle East.
Perhaps one can succeed in opening a new chapter in the relations among countries in the region and perhaps this agreement can be seen as a signal of hope to counter those forces of chaos in the Mideast, Steinmeier added.
Iran and six world powers agreed on a landmark nuclear agreement early Tuesday, ending 13 years of a nuclear dispute.
