Iran and the world powers reached a final nuclear agreement after two years of relentless efforts which put an end to more than a decade of disputes, IRNA reports.

The deal, better known as the Comprehensive Joint Plan of Action, was finally signed by nuclear negotiators from Iran and the word major powers known as Group 5+1 (US, Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany).

It was signed in Vienna on Tuesday after two weeks of marathon talks. The talks were based on clear guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and public support of the great Iranian nation.

The deal is also the outcome of two years of intensive campaign of Iranian nuclear negotiators. They discharged their obligations within the guidelines of the Leader, so that the illegal economic and financial sanctions on Iran were lifted.

The CJPOA envisages that the Islamic Republic of Iran is no longer under economic sanctions and that all economic, banking and financial sanctions will be totally lifted on the day of implementing the CJPOA as demanded by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

According to the agreement:

In December 2013 and at the end of the talks between Iran and six world powers (US, Russia, Britain, France, China, and Germany), it was agreed that the two sides exchange visits to resolve Iran's nuclear programs completely and attain two goals: At first, It should prove that Iran's nuclear program is only of a peaceful nature and second, it should lead to the removal of all sanctions against the country.

On the night of April 1, 2015, the two sides also reached an understanding in Lausanne, Switzerland, which was regarded a turning point in terminating Iran's nuclear dispute.

Nuclear talks between Iran and the other party continued in July 2015 in a more complicated and serious form. Persistence of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team on their principles and redlines led to many ups and downs in the talks preventing the other party from making more excessive demands.

The Iranian nuclear negotiators have always emphasized that the most important objective is to make a good and fair deal and made it clear that they continue the talks as long as necessary.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always declared that it will regard this agreement a long-term solution which should be based on firm principles rooted in the country's long-term interests.
