Several Saudi militants have been identified among gunmen killed in clashes between the Syrian army soldiers and terrorist groups near Syria’s port city of Latakia, al-Alam correspondent reports.
The Saudi nationals were fighting along with terrorist al-Nusra Front in the suburbs of Latakia.
They were killed in an operation carried out by the Syrian army supported by civilian volunteers.
Army operations continue throughout the country against groups of terrorists and insurgents who have launched a massive bloodshed against the Syrian people and government for more than two years.
The Syrian army often finds foreign nationals among militants who are killed or arrested and many have been identified to have come from Saudi Arabia.
On May 23rd, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said that militants from 29 countries are now fighting against the Syrian government in different parts of the country.
