Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani has said the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) slapped Israeli regime in the face using Iranian weapons, media report said.
Addressing students at Quaid-i-Azam University in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, on Tuesday afternoon, Larijani said that “we are not like those who send weapons to Syria, but when asked, they deny it”.
“We help the Palestinian people and even send weapons to Palestine, and during the 8 day war on Gaza, Palestinians managed to slap the Zionist regime in the face with Iran’s help,” he added.
“We defend Hezbollah and Hamas, because Palestine’s Muslim people are oppressed,” Majlis Speaker stressed, loudly applauded by Pakistani students.
“We do not conceal our support of Palestine from anybody. We are not like those who send weapons to Syria, but when asked, they deny it,” Larijani added.
“We have said that Zionist regime is a cancerous tumor and we help the Palestinian people, even by supplying them weapons. And during the 8-day war, the people of Gaza defended themselves with these helps and slapped the Zionists in the face,” he continued.
Referring to the 22 day war on Gaza, Larijani said: “At that time, Hosni Mubarak was Egypt’s president, but instead of helping the besieged people of Gaza, he closed Rafah crossing.”
