At least 35 have been killed and over 20 injured in a tourist bus fire in central China on Sunday (June 26), state media reported, Al-Alam News Network reports.
State broadcaster CCTV ran footage of the bus burning on a highway roads, with black clouds of smoke billowing from the vehicle.
CCTV said the bus, carrying 56 passengers including the driver, caught fire at around 10:20 am local time (0220 GMT) and crashed into highway guardrails near Yizhang County of central Hunan province.
CCTV, quoting local authorities, said an oil leak resulting from the crash is the primary cause of the fire.
Police have taken the bus driver into custody and the 21 injured have been hospitalized, CCTV said.
