Floods have devastated regions across France in some areas, the worst seen in a century or more, Al-Alam News Network reports.
The town of Nemours, southeast of Paris, was the worst hit.
Authorities evacuated residents of Nemours, about 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of Paris, on Wednesday and members of a canoe club were among those helping in the rescue.
An 86-year-old woman was found dead in her flooded home in Souppes-sur-Loing, near Nemours, on Wednesday evening.
