Military sources said on Sunday that the Syrian Army’s artillery units have been pounding two strategic towns in the Northern regions of Idlib province, inflicting heavy loss and damage on them.
The sources said that pounding the positions of militants in the two towns of al-Najiyeh and Bdama is a follow up of the operation that started last week. "The militants' positions have been under the heavy shelling by the Syrian army artillery units leading to huge losses and damage on the militants," they added.
Elsewhere, the Syrian Army heavily shelled the positions of the terrorists in the town of al-Tamanna in the Northwestern province. The attacks claimed the lives of more militants in the region, according to the report.
Also on Sunday, the Syrian fighter jets in intensified air raids on militants' strongholds across the Northwestern province of Idlib delivered inflicted large casualties on the terrorists, military sources announced.
"The air raids destroyed Jund al-Aqsa militant groups' positions near al-Tamana town in the Southern parts of Idlib province, killing and wounding a number of militants," the sources said.
According to one report by a source on the ground, five terrorists were killed and 11 more were injured during the airstrikes on “Jund al-Aqsa's" positions; FNA reported.
