Iraq's Volunteer Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) underlined that they would continue fighting the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group even in the neighboring countries, including Syria, Al-Alam News Network reports.
"Imam Ali (PBUH) Battalions and Iraqi Volunteer Forces will never quit their fight against the ISIL in Iraq and will even do their best to purge the neighboring countries (such as Syria) … of Takfiri terrorists in a bid to prevent the return of the Takfiri terrorists to Iraq," senior Hashd al-Shaabi Commander and Founder of Imam Ali Battalion Abu Ezrayeel told FNA on Sunday.
He underlined that the ISIL terrorists will be shocked by the volunteer forces' operations in the coming days, and said, "The Takfiri terrorist groups have been formed under the auspices of the Zionist regime's spy agency; hence what Jihad are they talking about. What these Takfiri militants, including the ISIL, are committing has nothing to do with Islam and everyone is duty-bound to fight the Takfiri militants."
Abu Ezrayeel reiterated that the Iraqi volunteer Forces will have cooperation and will act in coordination with Syrian tribes and all resistance groups.
Hashd al-Shaabi, or Popular Mobilization Units, is an Iraqi state-sponsored umbrella organization composed of several, almost exclusively, Shiite militias with up to 100,000 members.
