Al-Mesri al-Youm news website quoted Colonel Mohammad Jaloub, one of the commanders of military operations against the ISIS in Anbar, as saying that the trainings of 500 Sunni Iraqis have ended.
According to him, the Sunni volunteers are from different tribes of Anbar province and have ended their trainings in al-Habaniya camp in Eastern Ramadi.
"The cadets will be supplied with necessary weapons by the Iraqi government in the next few days and they will be sent to the battlefront to drive out the ISIS from Anbar," Jaloub said.
Sources in Iraq confirmed on Friday that the army's operations against the ISIS terrorist group in al-Heitaoyen area in the Southern parts of Fallujah resulted in the killing of at least 7 Takfiri fighters.
“The first army division is advancing against the ISIS terrorists in al-Heitaoyen area near Fallujah in the Western province of Anbar,” the sources said.
The sources further added that at least 7 ISIS fighters were killed and tens more were wounded in the army operations.
