Al-Alam News Network is back on Arabsat for viewers in the Middle East and North African countries

The Arabic news network resumed its broadcast on Arabsat nearly two week after it became available on Eutelsat 7.

Viewers can watch al-Alam programs under the name of WNN over both Eutelsat and Arabsat.

In order to watch WNN on Arabsat, viewers can use the following frequency:

Satellite: Eutelsat 25C @ 25.5° East
Frequency: 11585
Polarization: V
Symbol rate: 27500 Msym
FEC: ¾

In their campaign against alternative voices and freedom of speech, a number of Western satellite firms pulled the plug on several Iranian television channels.

On July 1st, the Intelsat became the latest service provider to take Iranian channels including al-Alam off the air. Eutelsat 8 and Galaxy 19, as well as HotBird 13B have also stopped broadcasting al-Alam.
