A video, released by Almanar, shows the mosque filled a considerable amount of arms packed and stored under the building.
The army took control over the mosque after two days of heavy clashes which started on Sunday fallowing Assir’s followers’ attack on a Lebanese army checkpoint in Sidon.
At least 17 soldiers and over 40 gunmen were killed in clashes.
The wounded included nearly 100 troops, 60 Assir supporters and over 50 civilians.
