The media arm of Lebanon's Hezbollah says the group has received the body of the Iranian military adviser recently captured and beheaded by the Isis group.

The handover of Mohsen Hojaji's body is part of the agreement called “Jorud” brokered by Hezbollah to clear Isis fighters from an area along the Lebanon-Syria border.

Martyr Hojaji, a holy shrine defender, was taken hostage by the Isis Takfiri group near the Iraqi border on August 7 and was beheaded two days later.

The shrine of Sayyida Zeinab, a sister of Imam Hossein (AS), the third Shiite Imam, is located in Damascus, Syria. Iranian military advisers have played a decisive role in the protection of the holy shrine against terrorist attacks.

In the meantime, Iran has remained a close ally of Syria and supports its legitimate government in the face of foreign-backed militancy.
