The army soldiers repelled ISIL's attack on their defense lines in Um Jam'eh village from the Western side of the towns of Hebreh al-Gharbi and Hebreh al-Sharghi.
The ISIL suffered a heavy death toll after the army's artillery units shelled their movements in Um Jam'eh.
In the meantime, the army men targeted terrorists' positions in al-Bakiyeh farms West of Um Sharshouh village, and in the village of al-Wa'areh in Talbiseh region in Northern Homs, killing and wounding several terrorists and destroying their equipment.
The army soldiers also destroyed a base of Fatah al-Sham Front (the al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in the village of Ezzeddeen in Northern Homs, killing at least six militants.
Also, Syrian Army soldiers and National Defense Forces continued to hit ISIL's positions in two main oil-rich regions in Eastern Homs on Saturday, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.
Syrian pro-government forces engaged again in heavy fighting with ISIL terrorist near Tal (hill) al-Sawana and al-Sha'er oilfield, killing and injuring a number of militants and destroying their military vehicles.
In the meantime, army soldiers clashed with ISIL terrorists in al-Maher oilfield.
Army soldiers also targeted the positions of Fatah al-Sham Front (the al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in the villages of al-Farhaniyeh and Ein al-Hossein al-Janoubi in Northern Homs, killing a number of the militants and destroying their vehicles; FNA reported.
