Informed sources in Anbar province disclosed that 10 ISIL (Daesh / ISIS) terrorists, including their field commander, were killed in the Iraqi army's artillery attack in the city of Ramadi on Tuesday.

"At least 9 ISIL terrorists and their commander were killed in the al-Boutiban region in the Western part of Ramadi city in Iraq's artillery attack," a military source told the local media on Tuesday.

The ISIL commander Abu Omar al-Ziyadi was among the 10 terrorists killed in al-Boutiban region. At least six other terrorists were also injured in the attack.

On Monday, the Iraqi army discovered an ISIL bomb-making workshop in an area they have just seized back from the terrorist group in the vicinity of the city of Fallujah.

"The workshop was used for manufacturing bombs and suicide bombs in Anbar province, the Iraqi defense ministry announced in a statement.

The defense ministry said that mortar shells, mines, sniper rifles and all types of equipment needed for conducting terrorist attacks were manufactured in the workshop.

Over 90 percent of Anbar province has been liberated after winning back Fallujah city in late June.

In early August, the Iraqi volunteer forces (Hashd al-Sha'abi) discovered a bomb-making workshop of the ISIL in a new area they seized back from the terrorist group in Khalediya Island.

The workshop was used for manufacturing bombs and a missile known as 'Hell' in the Eastern part of Ramadi.

Part of a video released shows Hashd al-Sha'abi forces entering the bomb-making workshop and taking its control.

Fallujah, located some 42 miles west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, was liberated in late June. The city is regarded one of the largest cities in the Anbar province. ISIL has been in control of the city since 2014.

The Iraqi Army and its allies, including popular forces of Hashd al-Sha’abi launched the offensive to retake Fallujah on May 22, 2016.
