"The ISIS terrorists stormed the SDF's positions from three fronts of Nahr al-Sajour, West of al-Arimeh town and South of the village of Khirbet al-Rous towards Owseh Jeli to lift siege on Manbij, but their attacks were unsuccessful and in an eleven hours battle the SDF fighters pushed them back, which ended in the killing of at least 88 terrorists," the sources said, adding, "In the meantime, the SDF fighters clashes with the ISIS in the Northwestern side of Nahr al-Sajour, between the villages of al-Rafieh, Dadat and Um Adseh, which claimed the lives of at least 60 militants."
"The ISIS also clashed with the SDF fighters near the Manbij-Jarabulus road which also claimed the lives of 21 Takfiri terrorists," the sources said.
Military sources said on Sunday that Fighters of Manbij Military Council, affiliated to SDF, continued to beat the ISIS back from more positions in Manbij and took back more residential areas in the town.
The SDF fighters stormed ISIS's positions in al-Hazaveneh neighborhood and took control over traffic police building, which claimed the lives of at least 17 militants.
The SDF combatants found two long tunnels with at least 800 meters of length connecting the traffic building to wheat silos.
The Kurdish-led SDF further found a large volume of ammunition, arms, communication devices, RPG missiles and grenades; FNA reported.
