The army’s air force launched Sunday morning intensive airstrikes against convoys of vehicles belonging to ISIS terrorists in al-Bugheiliyeh village and in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor airport, killing scores of terrorists, a military source said.
Meanwhile a field source told SANA reporter that over the past few hours, army units positioned at Deir Ezzor military airport clashed with terrorist groups affiliated to ISIS after they infiltrated from al-Maqaber area towards the airport.
The clashes ended by foiling the terrorist attack and killing all members of the terrorist groups.
Another army unit destroyed with a guided rocket a vehicle for ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of Panorama area on the southwestern outskirts of Deir Ezzor City.
In a relevant context, a source at Deir Ezzor Governorate said ISIS terrorists on Saturday evening targeted all neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor City with tens of rocket and mortar shells, causing huge material damage to houses and public and private properties.
Also a series of army airstrikes were launched Sunday morning on gatherings and dens of ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of the central Homs province.
The military source told media that the airstrikes were concentrated in the vicinity of al-Shaer gas field, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in personnel, while their vehicles were destroyed.
Meanwhile, a field source said over the past few hours, army units have made advances against ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of al-Shaer gas field following fierce clashes with them, in which scores of the terrorists were killed and others were injured.
The source indicated that an army unit confronted an attack by ISIS terrorists towards a military post at al-Hayyal mountain chains in Palmyra countryside, destroying a number of their vehicles, SANA reported.
