An escaped ostrich dashed down the roads of China's Foshan city on Wednesday (May 11) startling drivers.
Local police received reports of a wayward ostrich by commuters.
Video footage aired by state broadcaster CCTV showed the bird running and then being captured by people.
A local newspaper later reported two ostriches were on the run that day in the city located in Guangdong province and the but both birds died.
The ostriches belonged to a resident who had bought 9 from a local market, Reuters reported.
