Opposition groups confirmed in their social media that 44,992 terrorists have been killed in clashes with the Syrian Army and its allies during nearly five years of bloody crisis in the country.
"Nearly 45,000 members of the ISIS, al-Nusra Front, Ajnad al-Sham, Jund al-Aqsa, al-Hizb al-Turkistani, Janoud al-Sham al-Shishan and Kata'ebat al-Khadhra have thus far been killed in battles with the Syrian government forces across Syria," the sources said.
Military analysts believe that the number of killed militants during war on terrorism in Syria is higher than the figure claimed by the opposition watch, FNA reported.
