The Syrian fighter jets destroyed the military positions and hardware of the ISIS in the city of al-Quaryatayn and Palmyra (Tadmur) in Homs province.
The Syrian warplanes also hit the ISIS’s military targets in Eastern Aswana and the surrounding regions of Jezl in Homs province.
Meantime, heavy clashes broke out between the Syrian army and the ISIS terrorists in Palmyra Triangle area and the suburbs of Western Bayarat region.
The Syrian army and the ISIS terrorists also engaged in tough battle along Mohasa-Quaryatayn road.
In a relevant development on Monday, the Russian and Syrian air forces jointly pounded the military positions of the ISIS terrorist group on the outskirts of Quaryatayn and Palmyra (Tadmur) cities in Homs province.
The Russian and Syrian fighter jets inflicted heavy losses on ISIS’s gathering centers in the suburbs of Quaryatayn and Palmyra.
Scores of militants were killed and wounded in the joint airstrikes.
In a relevant development earlier on Monday, over 60 combatants of the ISIS were killed and many more were wounded after a column of the terrorists found themselves in an ambush operation of the government forces Southeast of Homs province.
The ISIS trapped terrorists in the Triangle of Palmyra were heavily hit by the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces.
The ISIS suffered a heavy death toll of over 60 killed members.
The Syrian army’s artillery units, for their part, shelled the ISIS positions in the Palmyra Triangle.
The Syria army troops and the NDF advanced significantly against the ISIS in the surrounding of Tadmur and in the Quaryatayn hills, FNA reported.
