Syrian Army forces and their allies pushed their way further into the Northern regions of Latakia province, imposing heavy casualties in fierce clashes with militants in the region, military sources said on Tuesday.
The military sources said pro-government forces took the control of two strategic hills of Rashvah and al-Rameed in the Western fringes of Kinsibba in Latakia province after heavy clashes with ISIS terrorists in the area.
Elsewhere in Northern Latakia, the Syrian Army alongside the popular forces, backed up by the Russian fighter jets, targeted the militant groups' lines of defense and seized back one more strategic height.
The Syrian army troops and the National Defense Forces imposed full control over al-Zoweiqat height near Kabani following several hours of non-stop battle with the militant groups in the mountainous battlefield.
The militant groups sustained a heavy death toll in the attacks of the Syrian government forces and the Russian fighter jets, FNA reported.
