They show the 28-year-old looking like a clean-cut, relaxed young man as he and a friend enter the city's Metro system at a suburban station.

Just moments before the seemingly mundane video was taken, Abaaoud murdered scores of people in cold blood outside a series of restaurants and cafes in the French capital.

Abaaoud was thought to be the on-the-ground coordinator of the November 13 attacks by the ISIS cell.

Most blew themselves up using suicide belts, while the Belgian-Moroccan dumped his weapons in a hire car in the suburb of Montreuil.

He and an unidentified accomplice entered the Croix de Chavaux station and - without paying for tickets - took Line 9 back into the centre of the city.

The images published on the website of the M6 news channel show Abaaoud in a black tracksuit, and wearing a pair of bright orange trainers.

An official involved in the investigation said: "He would have blended in with the crowds outside, watching the bloody results of his handiwork."

He looks very different from the gun-wielding, long haired terrorist in ISIS propaganda videos shot while he was in Syria.

Analysis of Abaaoud's cell phone show that he travelled on the Metro to the Bataclan music venue, where 90 people were slaughtered.

Abaaoud had plans to carry out another atrocity in Paris, but on the Wednesday after the Friday night attacks he was tracked to a hideout in the suburb of St Denis. There Abaaoud was shot dead by police commandoes, along with two other terrorist suspects.

The French President unveiled a plaque to Ms Jean-Philippe, who was also killed by an IS terrorist, around the time of the attack on Charlie Hebdo magazine, Express reported.
