Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) official from Mosul Saeed Mamuzini said that ISIS announced on Wednesday that people are prohibited from celebrating the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday as it is against Islam.

He revealed that the insurgents carried out a massive operation later and arrested 118 people in different neighborhoods of Mosul for violating the rules and commemorating the day.

ISIS terrorists believe that there must be no innovation in Islam and no religious ceremonies are allowed except those mentioned in the Holy Qur'an, Abna24 reported.
