On Sunday (December 20, 2015), Hezbollah confirmed the martyrdom of the commander of the Lebanese prisoners in Syria, Al-Alam News Network reports.
According to Al-Alam News Network, Hezbollah announced that Samir Qantar has been martyred in the rocket bombing of a residential area in Damascus Province by the Zionist regime (Israel).
Israel released Qantar in 2008 as part of a prisoner swap with Hezbollah.
He was welcomed as a hero in Beirut.
The airstrike also left ten Syrian nationals dead, injuring a number of other civilians.
