Heading a high-ranking economic-political delegation, German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel will arrive in Iran tomorrow, days after Tehran and world powers successfully concluded their talks over the country’s nuclear energy program, Al-Alam News Network reports.

Gabriel is scheduled to meet Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani as well as the country’s ministers of foreign affairs, energy, oil, trade, and economy.

Also serving as the European country’s Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Gabriel will hold talks on ways to promote Tehran-Berlin relations in diverse economic and political areas.

The delegation include high-ranking representatives from several German economic giants including car manufacturing companies Daimler (manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz) and Volkswagen, largest engineering company in Europe Siemens, largest chemical producer in the world BASF, and the world's largest industrial gas company The Linde Group, among others.

“German businessmen are strongly interested in the improvement and expansion of ties with Iran,” a spokesperson for Germany’s ministry of economic affairs and energy had earlier noted.

The visit would come days after Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 reached a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive 159-page deal on Tehran’s nuclear program.
