In cases where "containment" fails to produce the desired effect, the Kingdom moves on to “confrontation”. In one example is mentioned, the Foreign Minister was following a Royal Decree dated 20 January 2010 to remove Islamic Republic of Iran’s Arabic-language news network, Al-Alam TV, from the main Riyadh-based regional communications satellite operator, Arabsat.
