The brutal pounding of the besieged territory on Friday took place after negotiators from the Hamas resistance movement and the Israeli regime failed to reach an accord in the Egyptian capital of Cairo on terms to extend the 72-hour Gaza ceasefire.
Nearly 1,900 Palestinians have so far been killed in the Israeli onslaught on Gaza since July 8.
Official Palestinian sources say more than 60 mosques have also been damaged or destroyed in the aggression.
Gaza’s Ministry of Agriculture also states that the latest Zionist aggression against the blockaded enclave has inflicted more than $250 million in damages to the agricultural sector of the Palestinian territory.
Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Israeli troops on Friday killed at least two Palestinians during a protest against the war on Gaza.
A Palestinian medical source has said that a young protester injured by Israeli forces died in a hospital in the city of al-Khalil (Hebron).
“Nader Edriss, 22, died Saturday morning from his wounds at Hebron’s al-Mizan hospital,” the medical source said.
Scores of Palestinians were also injured in the protest that turned into clashes with the Zionist troops.
The second victim was a 19-year-old Palestinian shot dead near an Israeli settlement in the town of al-Bira.
Anti-Israel protest rallies were also held in a number of other West Bank cities, including Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm and Ramallah.
Nearly 400,000 Palestinian children are in immediate need of psychological help due to the “catastrophic and tragic impact” of war, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
