Iraq’s Defense Ministry has released a video showing Iraqi troops fighting with militants of the terrorist group of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Salahuddin province.
In the video, Iraqi troops are clearing the cities of Samarah and Tikrit from the ISIL terrorists.
The soldiers killed hundreds of terrorists and seized many weapons of them.
The ISIL militants have captured parts of northern Iraq since June 10.There are now calls for a coordinated response to defeat the group’s militancy in the Arab country.
Thousands have been killed and one million people have been displaced in Iraq since the ISIL terrorists launched its attempt to seize the country. The onslaught has met a tough resistance by the Iraqi army and people over the past days.
