Al-Quds Brigades announced that clashes between its commandos and an Israeli unit took place in the east of the Gaza strip on Friday, according to a Sunday report by al-Manar TV.
The spokesman of al-Quds Brigades, Abu Ahmad, said that the Palestinian commandos ambushed an Israeli unit as it was trying to infiltrate into Gaza.
Abu Ahmad said that the commander of the Palestinian commandos confirmed that casualties were among the occupation forces, noting that shooting took place and explosive devices went off as the Israeli aggressors tried to intrude into the besieged enclave.
The spokesman further noted that the backup unit of the al-Quds Brigades commandos intensified its shelling targeting Kibbutz Nahal Oz in a bid to prevent the enemy from making advances into the clash area.
For its part, Israel Channel Two confirmed the event, noting that a unit from Golani Brigade was ambushed by a Palestinian resistance unit east of the Gaza Strip.
