Syria militants face mass resignation of military commanders

Nine top officers from the so-called Free Syrian Army which have been leading a three-year-old war in Syria have resigned over shortages military equipment and lack enough aid from their foreign supporters.

"We seek your (the militants’) forgiveness in resigning today, leaving behind our responsibility as chiefs of battlefronts and (opposition) military councils," the officers said in a statement on Saturday.

The resignation comes as Syrians are still suffering from a massive war which was marked with extremist acts of violence after the FSA absorbed numerous radical militant groups which sought to form a new government in their country.

The war has been largely relaying on foreign aid, especially from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, according to reports.

There are also large flows of Weapons shipped to Syria from the West which are usually sent to specific groups.

Syrian government has been asking the United Nations Security Council to recognize the large amount of foreign interference in the war and hold the supporting countries accountable for loss of thousands of innocent live, but its efforts have remained futile as the council is dominated by countries which support the war to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

More than 160,000 people have already died, some in the most brutal ways wars have ever seen, and millions displaced due to the war.
