The militant group has officially claimed such responsibility in an ISIS statement posted on Twitter.
“We launched five rockets against the Labweh …” the statement added.
Several rockets from Syria hit two villages in the Bekaa Valley Saturday, killing one person and wounding three others, security sources told The Daily Star.
Four rockets landed in the eastern village of Nabi Othman while another other four struck the nearby village of Labweh.
The Lebanese Army said one of its units inspected the sites of the explosions to determine the source of the fire. Several media outlets said the rocket fire came from the northeastern Lebanese town of Arsal.
Angered by the attacks, several people blocked the road connecting Baalbek to Hermel and abducted three men from Arsal, an area known for its closeness to the armed militant groups in Syria.
ISIL has claimed previous rocket attacks on eastern areas where support for Hezbollah resistance group is strong.
