The video was posted in social media pages related to extremist militants in Syria.
A Syrian couple is seen in the footage standing against a wall at their home with their hands tied behind their back.
The militants pull off the scared Syrian mother’s scarf and remove her hijab and start cutting her hair and her husband’s with a seizer.
The couple is harshly beaten by the violent attackers who curse them, while their terrified children are standing and watching their parents.
Apparently the attack was carried out to send a message to the woman’s brother who was a supporter of the Syrian government and all other Syrians who oppose the deadly insurgency in their country.
It is not clear where the video was taped.
Militants in Syria, many of them with extremist beliefs linked to terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda, usually share videos of their attacks on Syrian families and soldiers on social networks.
The war in Syria started in March 2011, when pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of Western and regional states.
The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.
According to the United Nations, more than 120,000 people have been killed and a total of 7.8 million of others displaced due to the violence.
