Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi says world powers had a "good" first reaction to Tehran's proposals regarding the dispute over its nuclear program.
Araqchi told reporters after the first round of talks between Iran and P5+1 on Iranian nuclear program in Geneva on Tuesday that the details would be discussed this afternoon.
Iran’s negotiating team made a PowerPoint presentation at the start of a two-day meeting with the six powers in Geneva, adding that the atmosphere in the discussions had been "positive".
He gave no details of the proposals, describing them as "confidential".
Spokesman of EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton Michael Mann also said on Tuesday they were taking place in a "positive atmosphere".
He added that Iran presented a new plan on how to resolve the stand-off.
"I hope it is really time now for tangible results," Mann said, pointing to a string of previous fruitless talks.
