Dozens of al-Nusra Front terrorists have been killed in overnight clashes with Hezbollah resistance movement in the vicinity of Lebanon’s eastern town of Baalbek.
According to Lebanon’s security sources, al-Nusra terrorists were going to set up missile batteries near Lebanon-Syria borders when they entered into clashes with Hezbollah fighters.
One Hezbollah fighter has also been killed and four others wounded in the clashes.
The clashes came after a barrage of rockets fired by armed militants in Syria at Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon in recent days.
Lebanon’s Hermel and Baalbek which are located near Syria’s volatile Homs province have been experiencing unrest in the past couple of months.
In a televised speech earlier, Hezbollah’s chief Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said his movement is committed to protect Lebanese people from any threats caused by foreign-backed terrorists in Syria.
