Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Sunday slammed the Israeli aggression and Tel Aviv’s attempts to create insecurity and instability in the region.
“The Zionist regime and its allies seek to create ethnic and religious discord among Muslim countries,” Mehmanparast said, calling for unity and solidarity among regional countries.
The Syrian state television reported on Sunday that the Zionist regime has attacked the Jamraya research center, located northwest of the capital, Damascus. The center had been targeted by another Israeli airstrike back in January.
Syria has been struggling with a US-backed bloody insurgency since March 2011 which has left many people dead.
As international concerns grow more over the situation in Syria turning to be a humanitarian crisis, the Zionist regime authorities have been making their own threats against the war-torn country, seeking excuses to enter to the war.
The latest Israeli aggression comes as the US officials said the White House was considering equipping the armed rebels in Syria with more arms to fight against the army and topple the legitimate government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Syrian unrest began as a democratic protest which soon turned to be a cover for several terrorist groups including al-Qaeda and al-Nusra Front.
Wide presence of terrorist groups is Syria and their highly equipped armors, is threatening the Syrian people by the day. The Syrian government has provided several documents indicating foreign countries’ support of the militants, especially the US, the Zionist regime, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
