In a statement issued on Friday, the Zionist army confirmed that it had fired artillery into Syria. The shelling occurred as Israeli regime had launched an airstrike on a research center near the Syrian capital Damascus earlier this year.
Clashes between Syrian forces and foreign-backed terror groups have greatly intensified in the Golan Heights over the recent weeks.
The Zionist army has set up a “military field hospital” at military outpost 105 in the occupied Golan Heights to treat wounded terrorists fighting the Syrian government and nation.
The Syrian Army said in a statement on January 30 that two people were killed and five others injured in the Israeli airstrike in Jamraya, located 25 kilometers (15 miles) northwest of Damascus.
Following the event, on January 31, the Lebanese Resistance Movement (Hezbollah) condemned the Israeli attack as “barbaric aggression”.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011. Many people, including large numbers of army and security personnel, have been killed in the violence.
The Syrian government believes the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, with reports confirming that a very large number of the terrorists fighting in the country are foreign nationals.
