The Islamic Republic of Iran has publicly displayed its newly-developed advanced fighter jet “Qaher 313” as part of the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations underway to mark the 34th anniversary of the 1979’s victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The prototype of the Q-313 was presented to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, experts and those involved in manufacturing the stealth fighter.
President Ahmadinejad said that this fighter jet is totally indigenous, and it has been manufactured by Iranian experts. The president referred to the fighter jet as a symbol of Iranian nation’s self-esteem.
Earlier, Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi had said, “The aircraft will be different from the other fighter jets Iran has already made.”
