In addition to the 9,000 warnings, French officials believe that some 600 have left the country to join the warped ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

The period in which the tip-offs were made has not been revealed by the hotline that received the complaints – which has been running since 2014.

Mr Hollande was speaking during a televised exchange Veronique Roy, whose son is believe to have been killed by ISIS after converting to the radical death cult.
The French President was also grilled on migrants and said the French Government needed to “convince” migrants “that they won’t pass” into Britain from the Calais Jungle, Express reported.
