Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Syria's Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi who is in a visit to Tehran to participate in the 8th Summit of the Islamic Radio and Television Union (IRTVU).
"Support for neighbors, friends and allies are among Iran's top foreign policy priorities," Amir-Abdollahian said, pointing to the critical role of media in transferring information.
Noting the recent visit of Iranian Foreign Minister to Syria after achieving historic nuclear deal on July 14, Amir-Abdollahian said Dr. Zarif conveyed an important message to neighbors, Arab countries and the axis of resistance against the Zionist regime, on this trip.
Omran al-Zoubi, for his part, congratulated Iranian Leader, government and people on achieving the historic nuclear deal, and described it as a victory for all nations of the region.
He praised Iran's supports for the Syrian people and government in the fight against terrorism. "Syria is facing a Zionist conspiracy and unfortunately, some regional countries help the regime advance its ominous goals."
Syrian minister underlined that Syrians are captivated by terrorist groups such as ISIL and Al-Nusra front who are Israel's allies and mercenaries.
