Speaking on the occasion of the International Quds Day in a rare public appearance in Lebanese capital Beirut on Friday, Nasrallah said the Quds Day is marked every year with the aim of remembering the issue of occupation of al-Quds and Palestine.

He said everyone in the region is responsible for Palestine and the least to support Palestinian people is not to recognize the Israeli occupation regime.

Everyone who resists against Israel is defending his dignity and his nation, he added.

Nasrallah who was welcomed by a cheering crowd of thousands of his supporters in the complex of Sayyed Shohadaa said, “Israel is the Zionism base in the region and it is a permanent threat to all regional countries”.

He slammed some regional countries who pressed for launching a wave of “Iranophobia” in the region, saying that if these Arab regimes had spent their money for freedom of Palestine instead of Iranophobia, Palestine would have been freed by now.

He called on all troubled countries including Tunisia, Syria, Egypt and Lebanon to adopt a way of negotiating for solving their problems.

Hezbollah chief further criticized some political and media trends trying to make sectarian divisions in the region and warned that regional splits only favored Israel and the United States.

He rapped Takfiri groups and their supporters, saying that those backing the radical militants are responsible “for the destruction and disasters” and serve Israel.

Nasrallah has rarely attended public events since the July-August 2006 war between Lebanon and Israel, making his speeches via televised broadcasts instead. His last public appearance was in September 2012.
