The Army soldiers and National Defense Forces fended off ISIS attack targeting the military posts in Jubb al-Jarrah region, killing 20 terrorists, including Abu Bakr Helfaya, a notorious ISIS field commander in Homs.

Also earlier in the day Syrian army repelled ISIS offensives on government forces' positions in the villages of al-Masoudiyeh, Maksar al-Hassan, Jabal al-Shoumeriyeh, Abu al-Alaya and Um al-Reish, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.

According to local reports clashes still ongoing between the army troops and Daesh terrorists in several fronts.

The Syrian Air Force also targeted ISIL's defense lines near Jubb al-Jarrah.
