Alalam - Syria
After four years of holding nearly half of the divided city, rebels have been increasingly squeezed into the centre of the eastern Aleppo.
Footage broadcast on Saturday by government-controlled Al-Ekhbariya TV show government artillery and armoured vehicles firing at alleged rebel-held areas in eastern Aleppo.
State media reported that government and allied troops have moved in on new neighbourhoods, pushing one kilometre (0.6 mile) deeper into the enclave from the far east.
Government and allied troops have concentrated their fight on the northeastern part of the Aleppo, swiftly taking new districts since their offensive began last week.
