"The integrated system named Samen to search, detect and trace the surface and air targets will be unveiled on November 29," Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said in a press conference in Tehran on Monday.

He also said that the home-made LPI radar system which can operate in electronic warfare environments will also be unveiled soon, and added that three helicopters and 5 hovercrafts, all of them fully overhauled, will be unveiled on December 6.

Elsewhere, Sayyari underlined Iran's plans to stage specialized wargames for submarines in the next few days and massive naval drills dubbed as 'Velayat 95' in the Northern parts of the Indian Ocean in February.

"Also relief and rescue exercises will be jointly held with Oman," he added.

Iran has taken big strides in building different radar systems.

Last January, the Iranian Navy unveiled a new radar system with a range of 150km during the second day of the main phase of its massive wargames along the country's Southeastern Makran seashores on the rims of the Persian Gulf.

The radar system which was mounted on a mobile station during the drills can be used in electronic warfare and can continue mission even with some damaged parts.

The prototype model of the radar system can cover a range of 150km, but it can be upgraded to cover ranges of up to 400km.

The radar can also trace and discover surface and aerial targets at the same time, FNA reported.
