VIDEO : ISIS Burn Oil Wells in South of Mosul

Mon Nov 14, 2016 14:47:06

Plumes of smoke were seen on Monday coming from burning oil wells in the town of Qayara, Iraq.

Three of the wells are still burning after the ISIS (ISIL, IS, Daesh) terrorists blew them up in August to reduce visibility.

Iraqi forces say they have managed to put out most of the fire coming from the oil wells.

Qayara is 40 miles (65 kilometres) south of Mosul and fell to the ISIS in June 2014, but was liberated in, AP reports.
