A Kurdish television channel, embedded with Iraqi Kurdish forces, filmed a suicide truck attack on Peshmerga troops in Telkif on Thursday by the Islamic State (ISIS / Daesh / ISIL) terrorist group.
The footage, captured by a Kurdistan 24 television team, shows the heavily armored vehicle being driven at the advancing Kurdish Peshmerga fighters and narrowly avoiding getting hit by an anti-tank missile fired at it.
The Peshmerga try to hit the truck with rifle and machine gun fire as it races closer, ultimately stopping it with a second rocket.
Operations are underway northeast of Mosul where Kurdish forces attacked ISIS positions early in the day, meeting determined resistance in some of the villages.
