Firefighters rescued a driver in San Antonio after his car was flooded by high water on Monday (September 26).
Fire fighters extended a ladder to help the man from his flooded car.
He slipped during his first attempt to lift himself onto the ladder and wound up in the water.
San Antonio was hit with heavy rain late on Sunday (September 25), that washed out multiple roads and prompted school to close on Monday.
Nearly five inches (12.7 centimeters) fell overnight, making it the heaviest September rainfall in the region in the past 38 years, The Weather Channel reported.
