According to Afghanistan Defense Ministry press office, in the last 24 hours Afghan security forces led mopping-up operations in some parts of the country killed 99 insurgents including 41 Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL, IS and Daesh) terrorists and 43 Others wounded and detained 2 others, BNA news reports.
According to another report, 4 national army soldiers were also martyred during the clashes with armed insurgents.
After this report, Afghan air forces conducted airstrikes on ISIS stances in districts of Nangarhar province.
Attahullah Khogyani Nangarhar governor spokesman told BNA, in the airstrikes that launched on ISIS stances in Acheen and Kot districts, 21 ISIS insurgents were killed and 6 others including their two commanders were injured.
Afghan security forces launched air raid on ISIS hideouts while they were busy in organizing a series of terrorist attacks in which 9 insurgents killed in Rod at district, a senior police commander in the east of the country said.
Also dozens of weapons discovered from 4 arms caches of ISIS and Taliban militants.
