"It is expected that 250 to 300 terrorists, alongside their families, leave al-Waer for Idlib province," al-Barazi was quoted as saying by the Arabic-language al-Watan al-Souri daily.
"Most of these militants have been wounded seriously in clashes with the Syrian army and their treatment is not possible in al-Waer," he further added.
"The Syrian government is determined to include the rest of al-Waer's militants to the nationwide reconciliation plan," al-Barazi underlined.
Earlier this month, the authorities in Homs pardoned 194 militants from the city and its countryside who had earlier turned themselves in and handed over their weapons.
Al-Barazi said at the time that the individuals from al-Waer region vowed not to get involved in any actions that would affect the security of the homeland and citizens.
The settlement process was achieved in cooperation with the National Reconciliation Subcommittee in Homs province.
In mid-August, around 140 rebels in the Central province of Homs laid down their arms and turned themselves in to the Syrian officials.
"140 militants from the villages of Talbiseh, al-Rastan and Hassia in Homs province and from a number of neighborhoods in Homs city were pardoned after turning themselves in to the authorities," a source said.
The development came amid the terrorist groups' threats against those who surrender to the government, the source added. FNA reported.
