The video shows the US-backed militants in Syria hurl a barrage of abuse and insults at the American commandos in al-Rai.
The militants, who have been long sponsored by Washington, gathered at the town’s main square shouting anti-US slogans. They voiced anger at Washington’s support for Kurdish fighters battling Daesh.
“Christians and Americans have no place among us,” shouts one militant in the video. “They want to wage a crusader war to occupy Syria.”
“The collaborators of America are dogs and pigs,” another militant shouts.
US and militant sources confirmed the confrontation, which ended with American troops making their way back toward the Turkish border.
The video confirms that US troops are cooperating with Turkish forces, who first crossed into northern Syria on August 24 in an alleged bid to eradicate Daesh and Kurdish militants.
The Pentagon on Friday confirmed that the US Special Operation Forces had been deployed to Turkey to help Turkish troops in their alleged fight against Daesh in Syria.
“US personnel operating with Turkish forces and Syrian opposition forces will provide the same train, advise and assist support they have been providing to other local partners in Syria fighting ISIL (Daesh),” Pentagon spokesman Jeff Davis said in a statement.
Syria, which has been fighting foreign-backed militancy since March 2011, denounced the Turkish incursion as a breach of its sovereignty; Press TV reported.
