VIDEO: Russia, China Joint Naval Drills Continue Harshly in South China Sea

The 2016 joint naval drill of China and Russia continued to hold a series of military trainings off south China’s Guangdong Province on Tuesday afternoon in the South China Sea.

The Chinese and Russian marines participated in various of trainings, such as climbing and gliding, search and self-rescue, helicopter downhill training, and other individual technique exchanges.

The helicopter sliding training started at about 15:30, with two Chinese helicopters successively arriving at the training site and two groups of Chinese and Russian marines rapidly getting on it, and the sliding started right after the planes arrived at the designated area.

During the training, the two sides of the marines took advantage of ropes to reach the ground rapidly and teamed a battle formation.

The climbing and glide training was set up at a simulated residential building, the marines of the two sides need to reach the roof by using four kinds of climbing methods, and they also need to slide to the ground in different ways in accordance with the tactics requirement.

Afterward, Chinese and Russian marines conducted a self-rescue training inside a simulated cooling plant, and they trained to finish the scheduled task within the required time.
